Crown Point, Indiana- The Gary Old Timers Athletic Association 73rd annual banquet is set for Wednesday, January 9, 2019. This year’s honored guest speaker is Mark Giangreco sports director and lead sports anchor for WLS-TV in Chicago, and  an ESPN Radio contributor. Ring Lardner Award, Iris Award, three Emmy Awards, two Peter Lisagor Awards, two AP Awards for “Best Sportscast.” Current honorary chairman  of Ronald McDonald House. 1996 Chicago Father of the Year. 1995 Italian American Dante Award. Justinian Society of Italian Lawyers Award for journalism.This years honoree is Bill Dorulla, current athletic director of Crown Point High School.

 

Special guests appearance include Chet Coppock  broadcaster, sports talk personality and Dennis  McKinnon  a former professional football wide receiver and member of the Super Bowl XX champions 1985 Chicago Bears. 

 

The banquet’s Master of Ceremonies is Jeff Blanzy, college basketball analyst and NBC channel 5 Sports Anchor. Dinner tickets are still available for $35.00 per person.
