Purdue Northwest Women’s Soccer Falls to Walsh, 6-0
HAMMOND, Ind. – Junior Kelley Sharp (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) had five saves, but the Purdue Northwest women’s soccer team lost to Walsh University (Ohio) by a score of 6-0 Saturday afternoon at Pepsi Field in Dowling Park at Hammond, Ind.  The Pride struggled offensively recording no shots in the game.

The Cavaliers took a 3-0 lead early on behind goals in the fourth, 18th and 22nd minutes, respectively.  The final three goals came after the halftime break in the 52nd, 66th and 75th minutes of play.

The game took place during Purdue Northwest’s Annual Fall Sports Festival at Dowling Park.  The event featured six of PNW’s athletic teams competing in addition to a number of other family-friendly activities, including a t-shirt giveaway, performances by the PNW Cheer & Dance teams, inflatables, meet & greets with Pride student-athletes and Leo the Lion, local food trucks and more.

The Pride play the second of a seven-game home stand on Wednesday, September 13, against Taylor University (Ind.).  The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. CT start at Pepsi Field.
