Purdue Softball to Hold Open Tryouts

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –
 Head coach Boo De Oliveira and her staff will hold open tryouts for the 2018-19 Purdue softball team. The tryouts, which are open to any Purdue student, will take place Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. at Bittinger Stadium.

Interested students can sign up for tryouts with softball operations supervisor Ashley Perry on the sixth floor of Ross-Ade Pavilion on Aug. 31, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2 p.m.-3 p.m.

Participants also need to be enrolled in a minimum 12 credit hours at the Purdue’s West Lafayette campus for the fall semester. Other requirements include…

  • Check-in with Ashley Perry and fill out paperwork in Ross-Ade Pavilion
  • Proof of medical physical by a physician within the last 12 months
  • Proof of Sickle Cell Blood Test Results
  • Be registered through the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Center
  • Copy of class schedule

Tryout participants must also provide their own equipment. (cleats, glove, helmet, bat, etc.)
