Centerville, MI — Emily Richards scored 18 points and grabbed a season high 20 rebounds to help lead Ancilla College to an 85-75 win over Glen Oaks Wednesday in the final regular season game for both colleges. Ancilla secured a fifth place with Grand Rapids with the victory as both clubs finished with 9-9 marks in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association. But, Ancilla loses the tie breaker and will enter the regional as the sixth place team.

The Lady Chargers will travel to Mt. Pleasant, MI to play Mid-Michigan College in a Regional 12, District G contest at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday.  The winner advances to the regional semifinals at Grand Rapids Community College’s Ford Fieldhouse on March 7 and 9.  Ancilla won the regionals last year and advanced to nationals.

LaRae Rascoe also had 18 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and handed out nine assists, Wednesday. Rascoe has set new records in assists for a year (149) and a career (285) earlier this season and has added to them. She set the steal single season record last year with 103, but captured the career mark this year with 196.

Cierra Spearman scored 12 points against Glen Oaks and Jaela Meister added 11.

Ancilla has lost to Mid-Michigan College twice this year in conference play, one game played here and the other on a neutral court. This will be their first game in Mt. Pleasant this year.
