CHICAGO, Ill.-Â The Indiana University South Bend Titans (19-7, 14-4 CCAC) fell at the hands to the Roosevelt University Lakers (22-3, 17-1 CCAC) by a final score of 78-65.
After being outscored by 14 points in Saturday’s first half, the Titans outscored the Lakers by one point in the second half but ultimately fell to Roosevelt by 13 points.
A balanced Titans offense featured four different players to score in double figures.
The first Titan score in double figures was senior forward Dejon Barney who finished with a team high 17 points.
Barney’s 17 points came on 50% shooting from the field (6-12) while knocking down five of the six free throws that he attempted.
The next Titan to score in double figures was junior guard Quentez Columbus who finished with 15 points.
Columbus’ 15 points came on an efficient 67% shooting from the field while knocking down four of the five three-pointers that he attempted.
Another Titan to break double digits in the scoring column was senior guard Micah Poole who finished with 14 points,
Poole’s 14 points came on 50% shooting from the field (5-10) while also knocking down four three-point field goals.
The last Titan to score in double figures was junior forward Jylen Petty who finished with 14 points.
Petty’s 14 points came on better than 50% shooting from the field while knocking down all three free throws that he attempted.
