Ross Vying for Fan Vote to Participate in NAIA Shoot & Slam

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Southeastern University senior Linwood Ross needs your help to participate in the 2019 NABC-NAIA Shoot & Slam, presented by U.S. Bank.

The Fire forward is among three NAIA men’s basketball players looking to win the fan vote to join the field of four dunkers at the annual event held during the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship in Kansas City.

Fans can click here starting Tuesday, March 5th at 10 a.m. Eastern and can vote as many times until Monday, March 11th at 4 p.m. Eastern.

Ross is looking to become the second player in program history to participate, joining Mitchell Wiggins in the inaugural contest in 2014. Wiggins finished second to viral sensation Tyler Inman.

Already selected to participate in the 5 p.m. Eastern event on Saturday, March 23rd are Taylor Boley of Judson, Craig Wilmore of Rocky Mountain, and Patrick Burnett of York.

The Fire will be in action on Wednesday against the University of Jamestown in the NAIA Division II National Championship First Round.
