Schue lauded as NCCAA National Defender of Week

WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The NCCAA honored Abby Schue as the National Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Schue played an important role in Grace’s upset of No. 21 Kansas Wesleyan. The senior All-American goalkeeper made five much-needed saves to preserve a 1-0 victory for the Lady Lancers on Saturday.

Schue also kept No. 19 Embry-Riddle scoreless through 100 minutes of action on Monday, but ultimately a double-overtime penalty kick undid another upset bid for Grace in a 1-0 defeat.

The Lady Lancers are back in action Friday, playing at Missouri Baptist.
