LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 10 Southeastern University women’s soccer team continues to make history. As announced during the NAIA National Tournament Selection Show, the Fire will host Georgia Gwinnett College in the Opening Round of the tournament.

SEU enters the tournament with a 17-1 overall record. The Fire defeated top-seeded and No. 6 Keiser University 4-2 last Friday to win their first ever Sun Conference Tournament Championship and clinch their first ever berth in the National Tournament.

The Grizzlies defeated No. 22 Jamestown (N.D.) 3-1 to capture their first Association of Independent Institutions tournament championship in program history. GGC enters the National Tournament at 14-3-2, a program record in single season wins, for the second time in school history.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to compete in the National Tournament for the first time in program history. We know every game is going to be tough from here on out, so we are looking forward to playing at home,” shared Head Coach Randy Belli.
