SEU Wrestling Ranked 14th in Latest Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Fire wrestling team moved up three spots in the latest national rankings.

In the NAIA Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20, Southeastern is ranked 14th following a 5-2 start to its dual meet season, and are one of five Mid-South Conference teams in the poll. The Mid-South has the most teams in the poll.

Individually, the Fire have seven ranked wrestlers led by Ethan Owen at 141 ranked fifth. Dylan Chatterton is also ranked in the top 10, checking in at eighth at 157.

Additionally, Jake Watters and Luis Peguero are ranked 12th at 149 and 197, respectively. Jason Davis and Jesse Pryor are both 13th at 184 and 197, respectively. At 125, Jaaziel Santana is ranked 20th.

The Fire host sixth-ranked Lindsey Wilson on Saturday at noon.
