LAKELAND, Fla.- A member of the Southeastern University softball team earned Sun Conference weekly recognition, as senior right-handed pitcher Hannah Bodenhorn was named The Sun Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Bodenhorn scored two big conference wins this week, picking up 18 strikeouts in 13 innings. The senior gave up one earned and scattered five hits over six innings in a win at Coastal Georgia, then worked a complete game shutout against St. Thomas, giving up just four hits and a walk.
The Nashville, Tenn. native is The Sun Conference leader in strikeouts in conference play with 28, and is now 3-1 in TSC play.
The Fire are back in TSC action this weekend as they host the Thomas University Night Hawks in a Saturday doubleheader. Game times at the SEU Softball Field are scheduled for Noon and 2 p.m.
