LAKELAND, Fla. – For the fourth time this season, freshman Namiah Simpson has been named The Sun Conference Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Simpson posted the current second fastest time in the NAIA in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:01.11 at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational.

The Palm Coast native finished sixth behind four current Division I runners and a former five-time All-American from LSU in Coral Gables.

Both the men’s and women’s track and field teams are back in action this weekend at the South Florida Collegiate hosted by the University of South Florida and their on-campus track and field complex. For a schedule of events for that meet, click here.
