Taylor Suffers First Loss at Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The TU men’s soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss at Indiana Tech on Saturday night, its first loss of the season.

The Warriors (2-1) netted two goals in the 19th and 45th minutes to take a 2-0 lead into halftime, despite both teams taking five shots in the first 45 minutes and Taylor holding a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks.

The Trojans finally found the back of the net in the 85th minute when Zoltan Suranyi converted for the Purple and Gold.

TU was unable to produce another score, despite a 15-11 shot advantage over Indiana Tech and a 9-2 edge in corner kicks for the contest.

Taylor (2-1-2) will return to the pitch next Saturday, September 9, when it hosts Judson (2-0) at 7:00 pm at Turner Stadium.
