ADRIAN, Mich. — The Bethel Pilots (10-15, 5-13) bounced back as they defeated Siena Heights University (12-14, 9-9) 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
Bethel kept a slight lead in set one until Siena Heights fought back and tied the game at 14-14. Kills from Tiago Silva and Andre Parra helped the Pilots grab a 25-22 win.
In set two, the Pilots didn’t let Siena Heights tie the match. There was only a three or four point difference during the set until Erik Malek earned a kill and then won the set with a service ace 25-19.
The Pilots opened the third set with a 5-0 run and maintained a steady lead till the end to win 25-21.
Marcos Henrike led the team with 14 kills.
Jack Hughes earned 21 assists during the contest.
Sebastian Rodriguez recorded 13 digs in the game.
