TERRIFIC TRIO

Bremen (11-2): Sam Huffman hauled in three touchdown passes for the No. 11 Lions in their 42-13 win against No. 3 Whiting for a Class 2A regional title.

Michigan City (10-2): Lyric McFarrin scampered 18 times for 218 yards and four scores in the No. 3 Wolves’ 62-21 victory over Concord in a Class 5A regional contest.

Mishawaka (12-1): Bradley Taylor’s 34-yard touchdown catch lifted the No. 2 Cavemen to a 28-14 triumph over No. 11 Lowell in a Class 4A regional final.

BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR

Concord (6-6): Amarion Moore’s two scoring receptions were not enough for the Minutemen against Michigan City.

Triton (9-4): Hunter McIntyre managed just two carries for three yards in the Trojans’ 66-0 setback to top-ranked and defending state champion Pioneer in a Class 1A regional title affair.

Marian (8-5): Eddie Murphy hauled in a five-yard touchdown pass in the Knights’ 42-6 loss at No. 10 Fort Wayne Bishop Luers in a Class 3A regional finale.

Bremen (11-2) at Eastbrook (12-1) (Class 2A): The Lions’ last semistate crown came in 1995, while Eastbrook claimed one in 2016.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (12-1) at Mishawaka (12-1) (Class 4A): The Saints earned a semistate championship in 2015, while Mishawaka’s last title came in 2012.

Michigan City (10-2) at New Palestine (12-0) (Class 5A): The Wolves are in pursuit of their first semistate title, while New Palestine captured its last one in 2015.
