Hannah Whitish, Nebraska

Averaged 29.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game last week in leading the Huskers to road wins at Kansas and Drake

Scored career-high 29 points on Dec. 6 at previously unbeaten Kansas, making her final seven shots from the floor and singlehandedly outscoring the Jayhawks, 25-13 in the second half, including 8-of-8 free throws in the final 1:29 to seal the victory

Tied her career high with 29 points and added six rebounds and six assists in Nebraska’s double-overtime win at Drake last Saturday, again converting eight consecutive free throws down the stretch to hand the Bulldogs their second home loss in the past 24 games

Earns her first career Player of the Week honor

Big Ten Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Megan Gustafson, Jr., F/C, IOWA: Averaged 17.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game with a .733 field-goal percentage and two double-doubles in the Hawkeyes’ wins over Iowa State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff last week

Kelsey Mitchell, Sr., G, OSU: Contributed a game-high 30 points and a season-best five steals in Ohio State’s win at Florida, becoming the Buckeyes’ all-time leading scorer and moving into third place on the Big Ten career scoring list (2,840 points)

Tyler Scaife, Sr., G, RU: Averaged 23.3 points per game with a .542 field-goal percentage last week, scoring at least 20 points for the Scarlet Knights in wins over Virginia, Seton Hall and Fairleigh Dickinson

Freshman of the Week

Kate Cain, Nebraska

C – Middletown, N.Y. – Pine Bush

Tallied 12.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game with a .611 field-goal percentage and a double-double last week as part of Nebraska’s road victories at Kansas and Drake

Registered 19 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks to post her third double-double of the season in the Huskers’ win at Drake

Added five points, nine rebounds and five blocks in the midweek victory at Kansas, helping Nebraska hold the Jayhawks to four points (all on free throws) in the fourth quarter

Earns her third career Freshman of the Week honor and second in as many weeks
