  • Purdue improved to 3-0 for the ninth time in Matt Painter’s 13 years with an 86-71 win over Marquette in the Gavitt Games … the win was Purdue’s first in the event after falling to defending national champion Villanova last year 79-76.
  • Purdue is 9-0 all-time against Marquette, the third-longest active winning streak against one opponent (Detroit – 11; Valparaiso – 10; Marquette – 9).
