LAKELAND, Fla.—Senior guard Ana Richter was recognized as the Sun Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the eighth time this year, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Richter led the Fire to their second consecutive undefeated regular season with two massive efforts in conference play this past week. The senior averaged a double-double, while scoring at least 24 points in each contest. Richter improved her field goal percentage by shooting 69.6% from the field and now leads the NAIA in both points per game (23.5) and field goal percentage (67.7%).

On Senior Night versus St. Thomas, the Oxford, Ohio native grabbed an impressive 25-point 13-rebound double-double on 8-10 (80%) shooting in a 45-point victory. She also dished out ten assists, four blocks and four steals on the week.

Richter and the Fire women’s basketball team will be back in action in the Furnace on Friday in the Sun Conference Tournament semifinals. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
