RV Trojans Stumble Against Huntington on Senior Night

UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor women’s soccer team was unable to find the back of the net on Saturday night at Turner Stadium, resulting in a 1-0 loss to Huntington on Senior Night.

Huntington’s Matea Knispel netted the game’s only goal just inside the right post from 30 yards out in the 34th minute, and TU did not have an answer to equalize over the final 56 minutes.

The Trojans outshot the visitors, 18-7, but HU (9-7-2, 5-3-1 CL)  held a 5-2 edge in shots on frame.

RV Taylor (11-6-1, 4-4-1 CL) will travel to RV Indiana Wesleyan (12-2-3, 5-2-2 CL) to face the Wildcats at a time to be announced on Wednesday night in the Crossroads League Tournament Quaterfinals. The Trojans are the No. 6 seed in the tournament, while IWU is the No. 3 seed.
