Saints MBB drop CCAC opener 85-73 to St. Xavier

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College men’s basketball team began this Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play tonight when they hosted St. Xavier University in the second game of the men’s and women’s basketball double header. The Saints fell to the Cougars 85-73. With the loss Holy Cross stands at 3-2 overall and 0-1 in CCAC while SXU improves to 3-3 and 1-0.

Key Notes of the Game:

– Holy Cross shot 50% from the field and 25% from three

– The Cougars were able to shot 58% from the field and outrebounded the Saints 32-28

By the Numbers:

– Bryce Crosen went 10/12 from the field and had a team high 20 points

– Storm Cook and Robby Jimenez both scored 14 points

– Jordan Gaines finished with 10 points

 

Next Up:

The men’s basketball team will continue their CCAC play when they host Judson University this Saturday, November 17. Tipoff is set for 3:00pm in McKenna Arena
