PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga.—A stellar second round helped the Fire finish fourth at the Skyhawk Invitational at Callaway Gardens.
The 25th ranked Fire scored 299 in the middle round, tying for the second best score in the round and finished the 54-hole tournament with a total of 905 (304-299-302).
Host Point won the event by seven strokes over USCB. Truett-McConnell finished third.
Leading the way for the Fire was Andres Padilla, who finished seventh by closing with rounds of 73 and 72 to finish four over.
Jacob Soucinek started with a pair of one-over rounds of 73, and closed with an 82 to finish in a tie for 18th. Noah Endicott was five shots behind Soucinek with scores of 77, 79, and 77. Landry Miller matched Endicott with a score of 233, posting rounds of 81, 74, and 78.
Nicholas Maff rounded out the roster with a 35th place finish with a score of 234 (79-80-75).
The Fire return to action on March 22 at the Clash at Crosswinds.
