SEU Women’s Golf Wins Second Spring Invitational

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga.—For the second time this season, the Fire women’s golf team took home the team title at an event.
The Fire held off Lindsey Wilson by a shot to claim the Skyhawk Invitational at Callaway Gardens.
Junior Ana Uribe placed fourth overall, finishing the 36 hole tournament five over shooting 74 and 75. Brooke Wetzel was four shots back with rounds of 76 and 77 to place ninth.
Valentina Espinosa tied for 14th with a score of 155 (78-77), and Brianna Farrell tied for 19th with a score of 157 (75-82).
Ashlynn Joyner rounded out the scoring with a 23rd place finish, scoring 158 (78-80). Lindsey Gonzalez competed as an independent, placing 27th with a pair of 80s.
The Fire return to action on March 21 at the Clash at Crosswinds.
