SEU Women’s Golf Third at Tennessee Wesleyan

LOUDON, Tenn.—A stretch of 72 holes over six days came to a close with a third-place finish at the Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational.
Fourth-ranked Dalton State cruised to the team title with a score of 627, with Milligan edging the 13th ranked Fire by four strokes.
Southeastern finished with a 36-hole team score of 647, besting No. 8 Loyola by three for third.
Leading the way for SEU was Ashlynn Joyner in sixth place with rounds of 80 and 78. Ana Uribe tied for 10th with scores of 78 and 83 for a total of 161.
Valentina Espinosa tied for 15th, bouncing back with a 79 in the second round after an 85 in the first. Brianna Farrell finished with a score of 166 (84-82) to tie for 18th, and Brooke Wetzel rounded out the lineup in a tie for 21st with a score of 167 (86-81).
Competing individually, Lindsey Gonzalez tied for 24th with a score of 168 (78-90), and Annalee Barnett tied for 30th with rounds of 87 and 89. Olivia Perry placed 36th with a 179 (89-90).
The Fire will next compete at the Bash at the Beach, hosted by Embry-Riddle at LPGA National in Daytona Beach April 5-7.
