Taylor softball rolls past Bethel

UPLAND, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots (8-25, 4-16) fell to Taylor University (19-13, 11-7) 9-1 and 3-0 in a Crossroads League matchup.

GAME 1

Bethel scored first in the 2nd with a Courtney Mills double down the left-field line to bring in Meghan Younger.

Taylor fought back and put up one run in the 2nd and eight in the 3rd to win in five innings.

Shelby White pitched four innings with six hits and five walks on 84 pitches.
GAME 2

Taylor kept Bethel from finding any runs as TU scored three in the 5th to win 3-0.

Maggie Robbins, Kate Cooper, and Younger each recorded one hit against the Talyor pitcher.

Ryann Norris pitched six innings with two strikeouts, one walk, and seven hits on 69 pitches.

 

NEXT TIME OUT

The Pilots will be at home as they take on Goshen College on Gardner Field on April 9th at 3:00 p.m.
