Southridge ended defending Class 1A state champion Linton-Stockton’s 15-game winning streak with a 17-16 victory. It also ended the Miners’ 12-game regular season winning streak.
Bowman Academy saw its 14-game losing skid end with a 54-14 triumph over Indianapolis Washington.
Evansville Bosse halted its 14-game losing streak with 19-0 blanking of Pike Central.
Rochester snapped its 13-game losing streak with an 8-0 blanking of Wabash. It was also for the first triumph for new Zebras’ coach Brian Hooker.
Taylor ended its 11-game losing streak with a 51-6 win over North White.
Lafayette Jeff blanked Lafayette Central Catholic, 54-0, to end the Knights’ 18-game regular season winning streak.
Over 900 yards of total offense was accumulated in Mishawaka’s 47-45 win over Portage. Amazingly, each team was guilty of just one turnover and only seven total penalties for 32 yards were assessed.
Plainfield and Avon also racked up more than 900 yards of offense in Avon’s 58-32 triumph.
Perry Meridian’s first “home” game in more than 40 years didn’t turn out as it hoped as the hosts suffered a 34-7 loss to Greenwood at Falcon Stadium.
