Valpo Sets Program Record for PFL Honor Roll Members

After a 2017 season that saw the Valparaiso University football team achieve numerous milestones on the field, the program has reached new heights in the classroom as well. The Crusaders placed a school-record 52 student-athletes on the Pioneer Football League academic honor roll, which was announced on Monday.

The Pioneer Football League recognized 585 student-athletes from its 11 member institutions on the 2017 PFL Academic Honor Roll. PFL athletic director and coaches established the honor roll as a way to recognize the league’s outstanding student-athletes. The academic honor roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the fall semester and posted a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.
