LAKELAND, Fla.—The Fire fell to Keiser University 9-0 on Saturday in their first match of the 2018 campaign.
Southeastern faced an uphill battle from the start, as the Seahawks’ roster featured four nationally ranked individual players and the top doubles team in the country.
Sharienne Ricardo and Angelique Myrtil were able to take games from their opponents, No. 8 and No. 2 in the NAIA respectively, and even beat the best doubles team in a game, but the Fire ultimately fell 9-0.
SEU will be back on the courts when they take on Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach on February 1.
