Richter Named Sun Conference Player of the Week

LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University senior Ana Richter was named The Sun Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Richter propelled the Fire to a 2-0 sweep of the Northwestern Classic. The Oxford, Ohio native shot 80% from the field on the week. Richter posted career best marks in points scored (30) and field goals made (14) to lead the Fire back from a nine-point halftime deficit versus Northwestern.

The Fire improved to 5-0 on the season with an 89-70 win over Dordt and an 80-75 win over No. 17 Northwestern.

Southeastern returns to action at home on Thursday for its first league game against Webber International.
