Saints fall 66-56 to Grace

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College men’s basketball team hosted Grace College this evening at McKenna Arena. The Saints battled the Lancers tough, but a late run by Grace handed Holy Cross a 66-56 loss. With the loss, Holy Cross falls to 2-1 overall, while Grace improves to 3-0.

Key Notes of the Game:

– Holy Cross held the Lancers to scoring 36 points less than their 102 points per game average

– Men’s basketball shot 44% from the field and 27% from behind the arc

– The Saints were outrebounded 32-23, and gave up 9 offensive rebounds

By the Numbers:

– Jordan Gaines finished with a team-high 16 points on 7/12 from the field

– Robby Jimenez went 4/4 from the free throw line and scored 11 points to go along with 7 rebounds

– Storm Cook hit 3 threes in route to 12 points

Men’s basketball will be on the road Thursday, November 8 when they travel to Andrews University. Tipoff set for 7:00pm
