Saints WBB fall at Huntington 78-68

Huntington, Ind. The Holy Cross College women’s basketball team traveled to (RV) Huntington University this evening in another non-conference matchup. The Saints played well but fell to the Foresters 78-68. With the loss, women’s basketball stands at 1-3 overall while HU improves to 3-1.

Key Notes of the Game:

– The Saints shot 47% from the field and 35% from three

– Holy Cross had 17 assists on 25 field goals made

– HU was able to shoot 30/60 from the field and 38% from behind the arc

 

By the Numbers:

– Seniors Alex Forster and Keysha Streater paced the Saints, each scoring 18 points

– Freshman Arielle Thatcher records her second straight double digit scoring game with 13 points

– Senior Jessica Norris pulled down a team-high 8 rebounds to go along with 11 points

 

Next Up:

Women’s basketball will play in the Indiana Wesleyan University Leah Whittaker Tournament. The Saints will take on the host team (15) IWU on Friday, November 9. Tipoff set for 6:00pm.
